So I have been scouting the internet for tutorials on how to model screw threads. So far the only thing I have found has been about using a helix and attaching it to a cone. The geometry on that kind of sucks so anyone know of a better way to do it? Eventually I would like to take the thread and do a boolean subtraction with it to create the screw hole that the screw fits into.

Maya Object Crit
So I thought it would be a good idea to start a blog where we can do peer review's on each others work over the spring break. It would be great if everyone in the class could put stuff up for feed back! Hope this helps us all learn Maya faster and make our final projects look good enough for portfolio pieces. Fire it up!
